Do yourself a big favor and read this NOW! It's the amazing story of how a young boy survives a plane crash in the mountains above LA that kills his dad, his dad's girlfriend and the pilot. Amazingly in blizzard-like conditions and with no gear at all he makes his way down from like 8,500 feet. It's a total nail biter and a book you will not be able to put down. But the real gem of the story is the author's depiction of his relationsihp with his dad. His dad always pushed him to face his fears in surfing and skiing. And while the boy at times hated it, in the end it seems it might have been what saved his life. Starbucks just picked this as it's Summer and Fall book for '09. And Warner Brothers just picked it up to do a movie. It's gonna be huge. Be sure and read it!
